Capturing the essence of nature’s organic color palette on a clean-lined, simple silhouette, the Linville Falls Credenza fuels inspiration with streamlined organization. Crafted of Oak Veneers with a soft smoked gray Mink finish, the expansive 96-inch wide top has a functional base including a small file in the center and a lateral file on one end and an open desk cabinet on the other. Altogether, there are 4 drawers, with the top drawers serving as utility drawers and the lower drawers having a locking file with pendaflex filing system. The roomy desk cabinet has 2 adjustable shelves. The credenza is fully finished on the back so it can be floated in a room. Capturing the essence of nature’s organic color palette and the aura of a rustic mountain cottage, Hooker Furniture introduces the Linville Falls collection. The whole home collection is designed for younger consumers looking for casual and contemporary furniture. Characterized by its rustic, weathered finish and clean lines paired with organic grain patterns, Linville Falls is constructed with split oak solids and veneers and has an overall organic aesthetic. It is featured in a soft Smoked Gray finish mixed with a Charred Black finish that is achieved through Shou Sugi Ban, a Japanese technique that creates an elegant burnt wood look. Its moderate scaling and fresh silhouettes offer a refreshing juxtaposition mixing old with new.

Use of veneers enables more decorative looks unattainable with solid wood. Veneers are used over durable wood products such as medium density fiberboard (MDF) and particle board, made of renewable resources. MDF and particle board are used in quality furniture for areas that need to be stable, such as large surfaces. These durable wood products do not expand and contract with heat and cold and do not absorb moisture as much as solid wood, which results in stronger and longer-lasting furniture.

  • Drawer Construction: Hooker Furniture offers full height, full depth and full width drawers for maximum storage capacity. All drawers have strong, time-tested English or French dovetail construction, for years of problem-free use. Plywood drawer bottoms are attached to plywood drawer sides for strength and durability. Metal side guides or wood on wood guide systems operate smoothly.
